Juvederm is a popular dermal filler treatment to help fill in lines and wrinkles and add volume to areas of the face. There are several reasons why it’s become the dermal filler of choice among providers and consumers, alike.

Fun facts about Juvederm

#1. It’s made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that decreases as we age. Also referred to as HA, Juvederm filler is made of HA that is eventually absorbed by the body within months after treatment.

#2. A Juvederm procedure takes approximately 15 to 60 minutes. Treatment time will depend on the number of areas treated, the injector, and the amount of filler being used.

#3. Juvederm is one of the most common nonsurgical, minimally-invasive treatments done in the United States.

#4. Juvederm isn’t permanent. How long does Juvederm last, then? Depending on the amount and type of filler used, Juvederm can last anywhere from six months up to two years after treatment.

#5. Juvederm is reversible. An enzyme can be injected into the treatment area to dissolve the filler that was injected. It’s best to work with your injector to determine that this is the best course of action.

#6. Juvederm Volbella and Ultra are very popular lip fillers to create the perfect pout. Volbella adds subtle volume to the lips and softens the appearance of perioral lines for up to one year. Ultra adds a bit more volume to plump the lips for up to a year.

#7. There is no downtime after a Houston Juvederm treatment.
