In last week’s post, we shared with you that the face is not symmetrical from right to left, though we often don’t realize it. This is part of our natural facial anatomy, and any reputable MedSpa or aesthetic service provider needs to take asymmetry into consideration when treating patients.  You can read the full post at Our Faces are Not Symmetrical from Left to Right.

Everyone’s face structure and skin have different attributes that will require different types of treatments.

Symmetry is not the only aspect of facial anatomy that goes into determining the right type and amount of treatment for cosmetic patients. Everyone’s face is different and requires different needs and support to achieve similar results across patients. For example, skin texture, skin color, and the size of pores all vary between patients. Due to these differences, results will vary and treatment times and the number of treatments or amount of filler needed will vary by patient.

Take laser treatments, for example, if your skin is lighter, you might need to go with a less aggressive treatment level as to not damage your skin. For very dark skin tones, you might need to forgo certain laser treatments altogether as to not create pigmentation issues.

If you have large pores, some fillers might make those pores appear larger, whereas the right amount of filler could help smooth them out. The same goes for acne scars.

Find a reputable cosmetic treatment facility that understands facial anatomy.

What’s important is that you find a reputable and knowledgeable practitioner who has done several treatments and understands facial anatomy. Going to a professional facility with trained staff is the only way you’ll get the treatment results you desire.
