When people refer to Juvederm, a Hyaluronic dermal filler made by Allergan, they are often referring to the original version of Juvederm that was FDA approved in mid-2006 for the treatment of facial folds and wrinkles. Since then, the Juvederm line of fillers has expanded to include Juvederm Ultra Plus, Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Vollure, and Juvederm Volbella. Each Juvederm product was formulated with different areas of the face being treated in mind.
Each Houston Juvederm product has a different molecular structure. Without getting too technical, some of the products are made from larger molecules, draw more water to them, and so on. The volume added and the amount of time a filler lasts is often due to the molecular structure of, and technology used to create, the product, in addition to the amount of filler used.
Juvederm Ultra® XC and Ultra Plus® XC can last up to 1 year
The original formulations of the product, Juvederm Ultra XC and Ultra Plus XC are great to smooth lines and wrinkles around your mouth and nose for up to one year. They can also be used to add volume to the lip area.
Juvederm Voluma® XC can last up to 2 years
Juvederm Voluma XC was the first and only injectable gel created to lift and contour the cheek area. It can last up to two years.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC can last up to 18 months
Juvederm Vollure allows for a smoother appearance under the skin and is a great choice to smooth moderate to several facial lines and wrinkles or add volume to the lips. Its effects can last for up to 18 months.
Juvederm Volbella® XC can last up to 1 year
Volbella is a great choice to smooth vertical lip lines and add volume to the lips. Results can last for up to one year.
