What’s the difference between Restylane vs. Juvederm?
Restylane and Juvederm fillers are both made from Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance produced by the body that decreases as we age. The HA decrease can lead to the appearance of lines and wrinkles and volume loss. Restylane and Juvederm fillers can be used to temporarily add the lost volume back to the face and fill in lines and wrinkles.
HA fillers are not permanent and will be absorbed within six months to two years by the body, at which time, additional filler will need to be injected. Also, if someone doesn’t love their results, an enzyme can be injected to reverse HA filler. Though, hopefully, if you’re working with the right injector, you’ll love your results!
As for the difference between Restylane vs. Juvederm. Restylane hit the market first, and Juvederm lasts longer than the Restylane line due to a different molecular structure. Results vary based on the type of filler used, the area being treated, and individual body chemistry.
