Botox is a Botulinum Type A Neurotoxin that has been on the market for cosmetic use since 2002. It is used to minimize the appearance of frown lines on the forehead and crows feet around the eye area.

At DermaTouch RN, we are one of the top suppliers of Botox in the Houston area.

How long does Botox last?

The effects of Botox can last, on average, for 3 to 4 months. Effects vary depending on amount of product used, where it is used, and the patient’s body chemistry. Because we move the muscles around our eyes more frequently than those on our forehead, the effect typically wear off around the eyes faster than they do on the forehead.

What is the difference between Dysport and Botox?

We offer Dysport and Botox at DermaTouch RN. Both are effective products, though there are a few differences.

More units of Dysport is required to achieve the same results because it is a smaller molecule than Botox, requiring more units of it to achieve similar results to Botox. However, it costs less per unit, making the final cost of a single treatment comparable to Botox. Dysport also diffuses more than Botox, so it’s important to have a skilled injector who understands the differences between Botox and Dysport.
