Botox, the most popular cosmetic treatment available, is a Botulinum type A neurotoxin. Botox has been available for cosmetic use since 2002 and is FDA approved to treat fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes (aka crows feet).

Botox® in Houston, TX

What does Botox do?

Over time, the repetitive movement of our forehead and eye muscles can cause wrinkles. When injected into the muscles of the forehead and surrounding the eyes, the Botulinum neurotoxin works to relax the muscles of those areas leaving a refreshed and smoother look of the skin.

How long does Botox take to work?

It takes about 4 to 5 days for initial results to be seen with full results visible within 2 weeks. Results vary based on the number of units used, the area treated, and individual body chemistry.

How long do Houston Botox results last?

Right around the 4-month mark, patients often need to return for another treatment to maintain results. Also, due to the more frequent movement of the muscles around the eyes, the results of Botox may wear off faster in that area compared to the forehead.
