How to Stack Aesthetic Treatments for Maximum Results
Great skin isn’t the result of one treatment – it’s the result of the right combination.
“If you’re only getting injections, you’re missing half the results,” says Nurse Injector Vanessa Sandoval. She and Aesthetician Stephanie Guillen are the San Antonio power duo behind some of the most natural-looking transformations at DermaTouch RN.
Sandoval and Guillen pair treatments strategically to optimize results and desired outcomes. The idea is simple: injectables, biostimulators, and energy-based devices target skin concerns differently, and when they’re layered together, the results compound. Think of it as the 1+1=3 effect: two treatments, stacked together, deliver more than either could by itself.
In this post, we discuss four treatment pairings that Sandoval and Guillen recommend for maximizing results. Whether you’re focused on volume loss, jawline definition, fine lines, or overall skin quality, there’s likely a combination here that fits your skin treatment goals.
Sculptra & Sofwave
Together, Sculptra and Sofwave treatments address both the structural and surface layers of aging.
“Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable biostimulator made of poly-L-lactic acid. It helps rebuild volume by working deep within the skin to restore collagen and volume while improving firmness and elasticity over time,” shares Sandoval.
Sofwave picks up where Sculptra leaves off, tightening the skin’s surface above it.
“Softwave tightens the skin over [Sculptra],” adds Guillen. “It has minimal downtime and is safe to treat all year round.”
- Sculptra: FDA-approved biostimulator (poly-L-lactic acid) that stimulates collagen production to retore volume and improve firmness and elasticity over time
- Sofwave: Ultrasound-based skin tightening treatment for the surface layer with minimal downtime and safe for year-round use
- Together: Rebuilds structural volume from within while tightening the skin
Jawline Filler & Vivace
Jawline filler is all about sculpting: “It delivers a sharp, crisp, defined jawline,” says Sandoval. Used as an adjunct treatment to jawline filler, “Vivace helps improve texture and skin tightening,” states Guillen.
It’s a combination designed for those who want both definition and refined skin quality.
- Jawline filler: Injectable filler that sculpts a sharp, crisp, defined jawline
- Vivace: RF microneedling treatment that improves skin texture and tightens the skin
- Together: Builds jawline definition, then refines the skin quality over it

Botox & VI Peel (Tox Booster)
Botox is a familiar name for a reason: as the number one minimally invasive cosmetic treatment on the market, “Botox prevents existing lines from deepening and helps stop new ones from forming,” says Sandoval.
But Botox alone doesn’t address discoloration or texture, which is where the VI Peel comes in. “With VI Peel, we can treat signs of aging like hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and dark spots – even acne blemishes,” says Stephanie.
Together, Botox and VI Peel address both movement-related lines, known as dynamic wrinkles, and surface-level damage, which is why this pairing has earned the nickname “Tox Booster” or “Botox Booster.”
- Botox: Neuromodulator that improves the appearance of existing lines and helps prevent new ones from forming
- VI Peel: Chemical peel that treats hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, dark spots, and acne blemishes
- Together: Addresses movement-related lines and surface-level discoloration and texture at the same time

Injectables & Laser Treatments
Injectables and laser treatments work together to deliver total skin rejuvenation from two different angles.
“Laser treatments improve tone, texture, and sun damage,” says Guillen. In conjunction with laser treatments, “injectables restore balance and structure,” adds Sandoval.
- Laser treatments: Improve skin tone, texture, and sun damage
- Injectables: Restore facial balance and structure and improve fine lines and wrinkles
- Together: Resurfaces the skin’s surface while reinforcing the underlying framework

The takeaway? Aesthetic treatments don’t have to be an either/or decision. When you stack the right combination — like Sculptra with Sofwave or Botox with a VI Peel — you’re addressing multiple layers of aging at once, rather than addressing one concern at a time.
