What is SKINVIVE?
Designed with the support of global skin health experts, SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM is a specialized hydrating gel with a smooth texture that easily flows into the skin. It was developed to improve the smoothness of the cheek area. By increasing hydration, patients achieve healthier-looking skin with a lasting glow.

How does SKINVIVE work?
JUVÉDERM SKINVIVE is a modified hyaluronic acid gel. It’s injected below the skin’s surface as intradermal microdroplets to hydrate and smooth the skin. The gel consists of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, which helps to reduce pain on injection.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that decreases as we age. Fortunately, SKINVIVE works with your skin to restore HA.
According to Sarmiento, the HA in SKINVIVE works within your skin and supports it in retaining moisture by improving your skin’s natural hydrating ability. The result is a smoothing appearance of the cheeks, with a healthy glow.
SKINVIVE treatments are minimally invasive and require little to no downtime. Results are seen for up to six months following a single treatment. Since everyone is different, results can vary between individuals.
Who is an ideal candidate for SKINVIVE?
Virtually anyone over the age of 18 is a candidate for SKINVIVE.
“The best part about SKINVIVE is that everyone is a candidate,” shares Sarmiento, “The ideal candidate would be someone wanting softer, brighter, and more moisturized skin–they want to look more refreshed with a healthy glow.”
SKINVIVE is also approved for all Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI, lightest to darkest.
How is SKINVIVE different from other Juvederm fillers?
Sarmiento points out that SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM differs from other facial injectables and cheek fillers that augment and enhance the area treated.
“What truly makes SKINVIVE one of a kind is, it’s not a filler. This injectable will not add volume to the face but instead will act as an internal moisturizer. Its sole purpose is to help with texture and add moisture to the face. It works by increasing hydration and smoothing the skin.”
