Interested in a DIY facial and mask option to use in between your MedSpa and medical grade skincare treatments? We’ve got you covered…

Facials and masks are excellent options to keep your skin glowing and healthy. Your local MedSpa will have several options for you to choose from to treat yourself. All that said, sometimes, you might not have the extra time or money to head to your local medical spa regularly, so in between those visits, an DIY at-home option may be an ideal alternative.

We turn to DermaTouch RN’s Aesthetician, Krys Givens, for at-home options and tips to keep your skin looking its best. Read on for a DIY at-home facial for dry and sensitized skin, along with a lip mask for all skin types.

DIY Facial & Mask At Home Options

Here is a step-by-step–six to seven steps to be exact–at home DIY facial for dry and sensitized skin that Givens recommends.

Aside from being a great DIY facial option as a go-to at home, more good news about this option is, you can purchase all of the ingredients for just under $200 and use them over and over again, allowing you to do several facials for just a few dollars each time!

This is the perfect alternative to maintain healthy skin between in-clinic MedSpa treatments and to use in conjunction with medical grade skincare products (see below), without breaking the bank!

1. Cucumber Cloud Foaming Cleanser

Use as directed to gently cleanse with a hydrating, luxurious foaming cleanser

2. Strawberry Brightening Scrub

3. Rose Water Face Mist

Apply as directed to balance and hydrate skin. No rinsing required.

4. Deep Hydration Sheet Mask

Unfold and place sheet mask onto clean, freshly cleansed skin, pressing gently to ensure full contact around eye, nose, and mouth area. Remove after 20 minutes, and use excess solution as a serum by massaging into neck and décolleté. No rinsing required.

5. Rose Water Hydrating Milk

Gently press into skin to nourish and hydrate dry or sensitized skin

6. Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

Apply a small amount to upper and lower lids with ring finger, taking care not to pull or tug, for hydrated, brighter, less puffy eyes

Apply this soothing sunblock liberally to the face, neck, chest, and other exposed areas. For continued protection, reapply every 2 hours.

DIY Facial

In-Clinic Facial Treatments

Though at-home treatments are great for in-between professional visits, they don’t come close to offering the benefits of treatments provided in-clinic. Examples of these treatments include:

DiamondGlow

DiamondGlow combines exfoliation, deep pore cleansing, and nutrient infusion into a single treatment. DiamondGlow is a quick and comfortable treatment to rejuvenate and brighten the skin.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are available in light, medium, and deep options. Peels use special chemical solutions to remove damaged skin and improve tone and texture.

Glacial Rx Facial

Glacial RX  uses a freezing technology called CryoModulation to temporarily freeze the skin’s melanocytes, which results in less production of melanin (i.e., pigment) as the skin cells recover and restore themselves. This process supports a more even skin tone.
