Are you curious about Juvederm lip filler and other dermal filler treatments? Some of your most pressing questions answered here…

Summer is here, which means we’re halfway through the year. And, that means many of us are ready to change things up and check things off our “want to” and “goals” list. If you’ve had dermal fillers on that list, then maybe it’s time to do some research and give them a try.

Have you been wanting to try Juvederm lip filler? Or maybe you’d love for your chin to be more even or smoother with a bit of chin filler? How about a lift for those high cheekbones you’ve considered with a little cheek augmentation? Or, maybe you simply want to fill in those lines and wrinkles around your mouth and nose or add a bit of volume where you’ve noticed you’ve lost?

The Juvederm family of dermal fillers are some of the most popular gel injectables on the market. This family of fillers can be used to add volume to lips and cheeks and to contour the chin and balance the face (aka facial balancing). They can also be used to fill in lines and wrinkles and add volume to other areas of the face. With Juvederm fillers:

  • Create higher cheekbones
  • Get a fuller, sexier pout
  • Balance out asymmetry of areas of the face (chin, lips, cheeks)
  • Restore volume loss
  • Fill in nasolabial folds around the nose
  • Fill in other lines and wrinkles in the mid and lower area of the face
  • Create a more balanced and contoured chin
  • Smooth out a dimpled chin
  • Create a smoother and more contoured jawline
  • See a younger-looking appearance after filling in wrinkles and adding volume

Common questions about dermal fillers

If you’re considering giving dermal fillers a try, then you probably have several questions about it. Some common Juvederm dermal fillers questions that are answered in this blog post include:

  • How do dermal fillers work?
  • How long do dermal fillers last?
  • How does Juvederm lip filler work?
  • How much do dermal fillers cost?

How do dermal fillers work?

Juvederm cosmetic gel injectables add volume to your face with the active ingredient hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies that creates skin smoothness and plumpness. HA attracts moisture to it, which supports volume and skin health through collagen production stimulation.

Our bodies ability to produce HA decreases as we age. A decrease in HA can lead to the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. And who ever says they want that?!

With Juvederm dermal fillers, you have the power to choose to add volume to your lips, balance facial asymmetry, restore lost facial volume, contour your chin, and even create more prominent cheekbones.

Dermal fillers help to improve the appearance of aging skin and volume loss. When Juvederm is professionally injected into the selected treatment area, your skin instantly plumps. The filler responds by attracting water to the treated area.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Juvederm dermal filler injections have some of the longest efficacy of dermal fillers on the market. The length of time Juvederm filler lasts depends on the area treated, the amount of filler used, the type of filler used, and the individual’s body chemistry. Below are the five Juvederm dermal fillers, what they are used to treat, and how long they last.

  • Ultra Plus XC – Treats moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for up to 1 year.
  • Ultra XC – Treats moderate to severe facial wrinkles and adds volume to lips for up to 1 year.
  • Voluma XC – Corrects age related volume loss and adds volume to cheeks and contours chin for up to 2 years.
  • Volbella XC – Adds subtle volume to lips and fills in perioral lines for up to 1 year.
  • Vollure XC – Treats moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for up to 1 ½ years.
  • Volux XC – Adds contouring to the chin and jawline for up to 1 ½ months.

How does Juvederm lip filler work?

Juvederm lip filler can add volume to thinning lips, increase volume for a more youthful pout, add symmetry to unbalanced lips, and fill in fine lines above the lips. The filler is injected into the lips by a professional injector. After being injected, it takes about two weeks for the filler to settle and the lips to appear as the will for the long-term. Juvederm Volbella and Juvederm Ultra XC are the Juvederm lip fillers of choice for lip augmentation.

How much do dermal fillers cost?

Dermal filler costs vary based on the number of syringes used, the type of fiddler used, the provider, and the geographic location. The total cost of a Juvederm treatment, for example, will vary based on which filler of the family is used, in addition to the other factors mentioned. The average cost per syringe of a Juvederm syringe is $500 to $900 with the order from highest to lowest being Juvederm Volux, Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Ultra Plus, and Ultra.

A Juvederm lip filler treatment typically only requires one syringe of filler. More than one might be required if a lot of volume is desired. As previously mentioned, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Volbella are the fillers of choice for lip treatments. A syringe of Juvederm Ultra averages $500 – $700. A syringe of Juvederm Volbella averages $600 – $800.

Many MedSpas and dermal filler clinics offer discounted packages when you purchase more than one syringe of dermal filler or purchase filler and Botox together. At DermaTouch RN, we offer*:

  • $100 of off any 2 Juvederm syringes
  • $300 off of any 3 Juvederm syringes
