HA5 is a Hyaluronic Acid skin hydrator that adds value to any skin care regimen. It is suitable for all skin types and is easy to use. You simply apply it in the morning and night after cleansing and toning, but before moisturizing. HA5 works great on the neck, face, and décolleté areas where wrinkles and fine lines exist.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural hydrator for your skin. It is naturally found in the skin and helps keep skin healthy and resilient by holding in moisture. Hyaluronic Acid decreases as we age, with only 50 percent left between the ages of 40 to 50 when compared to what your body had at the age of 20. It’s important to replenish Hyaluronic Acid as we age to help minimize signs of aging.
How does HA5 work?
Per SkinMedica‘s website “HA5 supports the skin’s ability to replenish its own HA for overall skin health. HA5 has a proprietary mix of five HA forms that smooth the skin, thereby decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The 5 HA’s work synergistically to provide immediate smoothing and continuous hydration throughout the day.”
Another component that sets HA5 apart from other Hyaluronic Acid products is its VITISENCETM Technology. This technology “harnesses potent antioxidants found in Vitis Flower Stem Cells and algae extracts to support skin’s ability to replenish its own HA.” This allows for long-term hydration and healthier looking skin. Other topical Hyaluronic Acid products only focus on hydrating the skin’s surface for a temporary period of time.
There is a difference between moisturizing and hydration.
Though it might seem surprising, there is a difference between hydration and moisturizing. Hydration actually increases the water level in the skin, which helps to fight the signs of aging, whereas moisturizing is the process that helps the skin feel like it’s hydrated. HA5 increases the water level within the skin, and as such, is a hydration product.
