What is Botox?
Botox has been on the market for cosmetic use since 2002. Botox is a Neurotoxin — Botulinum Type A—that is used to relax muscles that cause crow’s feet and frown lines on the forehead.
How long does it take to see effects of Botox?
The initial effects of Botox can be seen within the first five days of treatment, with the full effect seen within 10 to 12 days. It can last for up to six months in some patients, with the average being three to four months. As results begin to wear off, additional injections are needed to maintain results. Results vary based on area treated, the patient’s chemistry, and the number of units used.
